Really Canada? Really?
http://www.doubleviking.com/videos/p...ilk-12683.html
Canada seems pretty similar to America...and then I see something like this. It's like someone went back in time and stepped on a butterfly, and when they came back there were a few slight changes...like milk in a bag. And I thought Capri Sun was a pain. This is just unsettling. |
Re: Really Canada? Really?
Let me tell you about the west coast. We drink out milk from a cup, and we pour it into the cup from a jug or carton.

Re: Really Canada? Really?
I drink milk from a bag in the US, so whatever. Certain chains do it, it just hasn't penetrated as far into the US. Kwik Trip carries half gallon bags of milk, so that's usually what I have in my fridge. It's cheaper to transport and thus, cheaper to buy.

I honestly have never seen milk in a bag before.

Re: Really Canada? Really?
I've never seen bagged milk in B.C.

Re: Really Canada? Really?
Prior to this thread I had never heard of drinking milk from a bag before in my life. But, life tml said, I bet it does cut down on transportation costs quite a bit.

Re: Really Canada? Really?
I think this weekend I'm actually going to go out of my way to try find some milk in a bag. Because I don't think it exists here.

Sean.. Dylan.. wtf? We had it here for years. Last place I saw it was Costco a few years ago within the first year it opened but it's essentially phased out. After I moved from Ontario around 1990 they still had it here for 3-5 years at most of the grocery stores. It's just one of those things I guess. Hahaha. You want something UBER canadian that nobody else had? Pizza-flavoured hot dogs branded for TMNT. That shit rocked. |
Re: Really Canada? Really?
Reminds me of canned socks. Or peanut butter in France (which was non-existant until 5 years ago).

Re: Really Canada? Really?
Last year a cousin from Australia and her friend from France stayed over my place. They bought peanut butter products every chance they got. Forget if Australia wasn't big on the stuff either, or it just didn't find its way into other products.
