How do you do your Subway?
I love Subway. I find I get 99% of my sandwiches from Subway. Even with authentic and delicious Sub shops in Chicago that make real sandwiches....I keep going back to Subway because of the price. And I have to be in the right mood for Quiznos or Jimmy Johns or Potbelly. So I find myself at reliable and cheap Subway more often then not.
I assume you all eat at Subway? Even you sodomizing Canadians? So how do you all like your Subway? What type of bread, meat, cheese, vegetables, sauces, seasonings? Toasted? Not toasted? Do you select a meat choice off the menu or request your own? |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
Subway is some kind of fastfood chain, right? Hm, internet tells me there are 74 of those 'restaurants' in the Netherlands. Can't remember seeing one. We bought some ice creams at a Subway in Germany though.

Re: How do you do your Subway?
Hmm, let's see, what do I usually get.
Italian BMT (Salami, Pepperoni, Ham) or Spicy Italian (Salami and Pepperoni), Italian Herbs and Cheese bread, Pepper Jack or Provolone Cheese depending on my mood, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Green Peppers, Black Olives, Oil and Vinegar, Salt and Pepper, and Oregano. I don't get it toasted because I enjoy cold subs, and I've been eating my sandwiches that way at subway for such a long time that I prefer them that way. I do like to get my sandwiches/subs toasted at other places, but just not at subway. Sometimes I get Turkey instead of the BMT, or I get a meatball sub too, but primarily I stick with the BMT. |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
Combine gets a BLT.. sans the LT on like Italian bread.
Depending on my mood its generally Cold Cut Combo/Ham and Turkey sub/ Chicken breast Usually on Italian herb and cheese Toasted American or Provolone Cheese Lettuce and Tomatoe Sweet Peppers.. sometimes green... on occasion pickles Lite MAyo |

But ya, I go to subway about once every 5 months. I like to screw them and ask for a BL. They never understand what the hell im saying. |

Re: How do you do your Subway?
I'm from the Philly area. We invented the Hoagie (original sub) and we do not consume Subway's shitty foodstuffs. To be from this area and do do so is to shame one's self and you must sew a scarlett letter "S" on all of your shirts to communicate that shame to everyone around you.
And there is no need for Subway when you have Wawa. http://www.wawa.com/WawaWeb/Default.aspx |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
Looks tasty, but so far I have yet to find the vegetarian option.
|
Re: How do you do your Subway?
Thats because vegetarianism is commie pinko bullshit. J/K :D
My wife doesn't eat much meat likes the cheese hoagies from wawa with plenty of veg. |

Edit: I just looked at your location, and no you're not near me, but I thought you were. I thought you lived in Thornbury for some reason...though maybe you did a few years ago. |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
I have cousins up in New Jersey so I have had me a sandwich in Pennsylvania while passing through and I stopped at a sub place in New Jersey. Don't remember where I ate at in Pennsylvania, but I ate at The White House in Jersey and it was pretty good. I recommend it if you're ever at Atlantic City, Prof S. Of course, why would you go to that dumpster of a state full of guidos. It's almost as bad as Canada. :sneaky:
http://www.hollyeats.com/WhiteHouseSubs.htm http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/R...house-sub-shop http://www.roadfooddigest.com/?tag=/...house+sub+shop By the way, in Little Italy in Chicago you can get a good, authentic sub. I still enjoy my cheapo 5 dollar footlongs though. If I ate a quality sub everyday I'd go broke. |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
Oven roast chicken breast on wheat, toasted - with lettuce, cucumber, green peppers, olives, jalapinos, a little bit of mayo and salt and pepper.
|
Re: How do you do your Subway?
I like it good and healthy.
Veggie, cheese, brown bread. Everything. Ranch, sometimes mustard. It's good for the digestive system. :D And it's the cheapest option, too. It's weird, you think you'd miss the meat. But I really don't. I'm not even vegetarian. Sometimes I like a good Subway Club (Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef) though. And I've been known to splurge on Buffalo chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and sometimes just Turkey. But veggie is where it's at. |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
I can't stand Subway. Even if it's one of the better options on tour, I still don't eat there. The "Subway smell" disgusts me.
Also, I'm from the Delaware/Pennsylvania area, so I don't have to resort to the Subway crap. Basically what Professor said, Subway is horrible, and I'm sure you can get better sandwiches in Chicago, KG, shame on you. Wawa is way better than Subway, but it's still not close to Capriotti's. http://www.capriottis.com/ Eat it, live it, love it. They even have some locations out West in CA/NV/NM now, but god the stuff is good. Also.. http://casapullashockessin.com/ Right down the way, very good. Sorry if I'm a Sub Snob, but Subway is bad, bad, bad. Ideal sub is a homemade turkey from Capriotti's, no onions, with lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot peppers, and oil, never mayo. Perfection |
Re: How do you do your Subway?
I work at a local sandwich shop which roasts it's own whole turkeys, top round beef and pork loin, thrown together on fresh bread from a local bakery along with tastily fresh ingredients.
At which I get a free lunch. Soooooooo... What I mean is, when I was living in a pantry in Fredericksburg, I took advantage of the 5 dollar footlong in the shape of turkey + ham with lettuce, tomato, hot peppers and honey mustard on wheat... |
