PS2 Software Price Cut!
 

Oh, you read correctly. IGNPS2 just announced that according to the Financial Times, Sony is dropping the price of all PS2 games from 49.99 to 39.99!!!

Although this has been reported, Sony has yet to confirm this. Hopefully an anouncement will be made tomorrow.

Sounds strange, but I guess you'll do anything to stay ahead.

This is awesome... I wonder if Nintendo or Xbox will drop their game prices... bah probably not, it's not as major as a console price drop... but still... 10 bucks less for new games... plus Sony adding more games to their greatest hits line now and then... and the 10 bucks off controllers and memory cards...

I love Sony! They were the first to drop the price of their console and everyone followed. Hopefully Nintendo and Microsoft will do the same here, but I don't think they will just quite yet.

Well... Nothing has come from Sony officially yet.... Hopefully IGN hasn't just gotten our hopes up.
