Monster Suggestion Thread

Now clearly, it's Monster Wars.

We already have a pretty full stable of monsters, however if you feel like suggesting a monster, and we deem it better than one that we have, we will change it. But don't get your hopes up.

Tar Man from the Return of the Living Dead is classic monster goodness:

Alien better be on here...either the original or the Queen Alien from Aliens, definitely the two best

Chucky...everyone's favorite evil doll

anyone see the movie Slither?

the baby from Brain Dead (Dead Alive)

Pennywise from IT is classic

Evil Arnie from T1 is a force to be frightened by

You guys better give love to Ghostbusters. Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man are two obvious recommendations

And Spike from Gremlins

And 2 more from Poltergeist, the scary clown and the scary preacher

It would also be propimp if you guys included classic baddies like Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolf Man, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorheis, Michael Myers...

I actually think the more the merrier, but I'm a huge horror fan...it's probably my favorite genre. I'm sure others would like to chime in and their is a whole list of B-movie horror baddies as well as all the fun and campy 60s, 70s, and 80s horror films.

This guy is terrifying too, but dunno if it is horror:

Think less characters.

Gremlins are under consideration.

So its more like categories of monsters rather than individual ones?

Like we had crab vs platypus, not Fred the crab and Pauline the platypus.

So, I'm picturing things like Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti, Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra, Jersey Devil...Things from the the cryptozoological front. Is that on base?

Teuthida 06-11-2009 09:48 PM

Re: Monster Suggestion Thread

Oh geez. How did i miss the the Jersey Devil? Hmm, actually a couple on the list are individuals. Dunno how much my original list of 30 has changed but tried going the cryptozoology/folklore route for most of it.

Starcraft's Sarah Kerrigan. The coolest Zerg of you all.

Edit: since it can't be a character: a Zerg. You pick the coolest one. Hydralisk, Mutalisk or so?

Velociraptor.

Zombies are like an urban phenomenon in countries like Africa and stuff. So they should be on the list as regional terrors.

Angrist, explain how a dinosaur is a monster.

Zerg is not in.

It could be a two-headed dinosaur! With really long eyelashes! And a pipe!

Some of the ideas I have seen I have to say have made me ask, how is that a monster? A zombie for example, it's not a monster, it's a zombie. And a raptor is a dinosaur.
Anyway here is my vote, I want to see -

Mythical Sea Monster From Clash of the Titan's: The Kraken.

Go Kraken!!!
