Golden Sun DS

Camelot makes a sequel to a GBA... and it only takes them 6 years. :lolz:

Is it a sequel or a remake though? Things to ponder...

On a side note, they totally should do a Golden Sun Wii, or a new Paper Mario RPG for the Wii or something.

I was actually hoping for a Paper Mario announcement at e3, I do love two new Mario games, but I would have preferred them not rush out either.

Anyhow, it is a sequel, and I guess the main characters are descendants of the originals because every RPG the kids look EXACTLY like one parent.

HELL YES Finally!

Camelot rocks. Ever since We Love Golf I've been hurting for a good Camelot RPG.

I still need to finish The Lost Age.. hmm.

Same here. When I got the ship up and running, they told me I needed to practice before going to open sea. So I ended up doing some boring, low-level area that I missed. That's where I left the game, apparently.

I've never played Golden Sun.
I just heard good things about it, so if it IS a remake, I'll grab it.

And if it continues the story? You probably won't need to have played 1 and 2 to really enjoy this and immerse yourself in the story.

Well, I'd probably still buy it if it was a continuance even without playing the first one (is there more?). I sort of remember playing them for an emulator I downloaded maybe 6 years ago, but I never beat the game. I was actually at a point that looked identical to the teaser-trailer, with the desert-steppe.

Yeah there's more, they made a really good sequel. I think it finishes the story of the first game. With different characters etc. But like I said, I haven't beat that one yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the second Golden Sun was a prequel, was it not? It starred the older brother of the main character from the first game, or something.

Hahah, wrong RPG you're thinking of? It was a direct sequel. The games are sequentially in order. There's no space of time between them. They could have been the same game but I think Nintendo didn't want to wait.

Felix is Jenna's older brother, but not Ivan's. Jenna was the female magic-type companion in the first game.
