Red Faction MP Demo
 

BaB, Soviet, and myself played this last night. I think the general consensus was that while it is fun, it is also a bit boring after not too long.

Combine, have you tried it out yet?

Any other thoughts on the demo?

I just remember the first Red Faction (I believe it was Red Faction) where you could explode holes in the walls, and they'd stay there.

So every 2 on 2 match we had, we'd bore elaborate tunnels on our sides to hide in, and would try have them meet up with one another, by using the rockets, and checking position with the heat-scope gun, and aiming where the heat trace is.

I thought it was fun, but ya, it does get a little boring after a bit. But it only has the 2 levels and 1 game mode, the worst one at that. Thats why you have to stop caring about the objective and start screwing around with the buildings. :)

After playing it a bit I did have fun. I could see the full game being pretty fun.

I did similar things with the original too, just boring as far as I could go. The sequel saddened me when they got rid of alot that made the original fun. Haven't tried the MP demo yet, but hoping to once I get back home next week. SP demo was meh, and wish I could just enable a sandbox and go crazy on things but alas....

Yeah I remember when you were so proud of your handiwork with the bridge and cutting off their access... only to find out there was a second route. :lolz:

I enjoyed the demo, but yeah curious the other modes.

Maybe we can all get on the demo tonight.
