Resident Evil Retrospective
 

Since RE5 is about a month away now, GameTrailers is doing a Resident Evil Retrospective-- they've done these specials for various series. It's a six part special and at the moment, they're on the second one.

I know there aren't many RE fans here, but it doesn't hurt to try :p

I like those retrospectives. Just not when I have barely played any games in the series (like FF).

I like the retros, but think they are zooming through the games.

Part 3 would be Zero and CV.
Part 4 would be 4 most likely?

5 and 6 would be the off-shoots? Umbrella Chronicles? Dead Aim? Or what?

I'd imagine the new Degeneration movie will be brought up since it's (IMO) a good bridge before RE5 hits.

Penguin showed me this trailer earlier. I think it's pretty intense.

It was interesting as CV was the first one I really tried to play, but those controls still kill me.

RE 4 was the first one where the controls didn't make me want to kill something.

I hardly remember anything of Resident Evil 0. I know I've beat it once, I just forgot all the details.
And now I'm selling our copy.

I was a big fan of RE. Even with the tank controls. I just liked the thinking involved and I used to get invested. I remember I tried to complete RE2 by only saving at long intervals. I got 3 hours through the game and was about to save for dinner and I got killed by one of those tongue guys.

Never played it again.

Shouldn't you want to kill something? Like... ZOMBIES!

Sadly Edge and Eurogamer gave it a 7.
