Mafia Round 4 - Guards
 

The King had grown increasingly paranoid of late. He and his family were under guard's watch day and knight. Ever since the betrayal of one his sworn Royal Guards, King Neo made sure that each guard had another guard watching him. Because of this, Jason had been caught. He had tried to sneak away on Bond's watch when he thought Bond was sleeping. Bond had only been pretending to sleep for this very reason. BreakABone did the honors himself, sliding his sword into Jason's heart, and watching the spirit inside float away.

Bond stalked the halls of the keep. He had a mission to complete but was on edge as he was convinced he could hear footsteps tailing him. Bond stopped and strained his ears to listen. He heard a quiet echo off in the distance and then nothing. Bond's first mission had been a failure and resulted in the death of an innocent. But he redeemed himself the moment he loosed that crossbow bolt into Manasecret's spine. Now he had a new target. One of his own guards. Schadenfreude had been acting very curious lately, calling everything Bond said into question. Constantly questioning and disobeying. Bond was convinced that Schadenfreude had been possessed. He opened the door to Schadenfreude's sleeping quarters as quietly as he could. Inching closer to the bed, Bond unsheathed his dagger.

He had second thoughts as he stood over Schadenfreude's bed but knew he had to do this to save lives. Bond brought the blade down in one quick motion, and buried it deep in Schadenfeude's throat. Schadenfreude opened his eyes at the last moment, dying with an expression of pure terror.

And then...nothing. No spirit lifted from his body. He was innocent. Bond fell to his knees and dropped his dagger. He began to sob as the thought of another innocent man's blood on his hands was too much to bear. That's when he felt a blade pierce him from behind.

"You're free now", whispered the killer.

And then nothing.

Gahhhh. The vigilante is dead, this game is making my head spin. There are only two mafia left, though. And at least we have the Seer (somewhere).

Two corrupt Royal Guards? Anything to say about this BaB? You are their leader...

P.S. Bond, honestly, isn't this the third game you got the Vigilante role? How does that work?

Edit: Accusing BaB doesn't really make sense, because he was all in favor of killing of Jason1, and encouraged us to sway our vote from Bond. So now what?

What in the hell? I was sure that I voted. I also didn't see when the round was ending. Damnit.

Also, Bond always gets the cool roles. :(

Gah! So it seems the mob was right this round. I'm glad I didn't put enough faith in Jason to try to protect him.

It would seem BreakaBone knows what he's doing despite my suspicions. Hmm...I shall weigh my thoughts heavily this round. Right now, those who voted for Bond have my suspicion.

Hmm, good job on the Jason vote...For some reason I thought he might be innocent, but wrong I was. Two Mafia still lurk out there somewhere..

It's a shame we lost Bond, but we're still pretty strong 11-2...I'm trying to figure out Bond's random code...

I personally think his message was just there to cause mass confusion and point fingers.


Also, Swan - Why Teuth? If you wan't people to side with you, usually give a reason. Haha.

I doubt there's a secret message in there. Having said that, I know damn well I'm going to puzzle over it for a good long while.

Hah, so my speculations were wrong again. I hope that doesn't make me too suspicious. At least I gave my reasons.

At least now we know who to trust.

And if Bond's message contains a hidden message, I really don't think that's allowed (talking about the game after you die).

I completely agree.

Well, this pretty much clears me of being Mafia. I voted for Jason to protect Bond and now you know why.

As for who to vote for next, I have my ideas. :ohreilly:
