Video Game Music
We've probably done this topic before, but post your favorite songs you've heard from your favorite games. It could be a beautifully composed song full of a variety of instruments or 8-bit music, I don't care.
Here are three I really enjoy: Brawl- Tetris Type B Chrono Cross- Another Guldove Mega Man IV- Ring Man stage Sonic 2- Chemical Plant Zone Post yours! |
Re: Video Game Music
I'd love to post a link or something, but I'm on my iPod right now and can't paste anything. Or copy.
Anyway, my favorite piece of music is Stickerbrush Symphony from DKC2 - the Bramble Scramble music. No other game will ever beat that, the best piece of videogame music has been written. |
Re: Video Game Music
Adding another post with Sonic music: This ties with Chemical Plant Zone in my favorite Sonic music category :p
Oh, how I hated falling into the water.. |
Re: Video Game Music
Chrono Cross - Time's Scar Suikoden 3 - Endless Love I think it was called? I don't remember but it was one of the few things I truly enjoyed about the game. |
Re: Video Game Music
Probably one of the most memorable songs of my life. It encapsulates my sweet, sweet, innocent childhood.
Another amazing classic from Sonic 3. Again, reminds me of childhood summers playing these games with my friends for hours on end. And Streets of Rage Stage 1 song. Such a great game. |
Re: Video Game Music
Good to see this topic finally posted.
Geo and I always ended up talking about doing one especially on sonic music. |

Re: Video Game Music
Well first I am going to fix this thread and include Geo's favorite video game song EVER. I mean you should hear the excitement when this song pops up in Smash.
Sonic Boom Sonic 2 Sky Chase Zone Super Mario Bros 3- Sub Boss music. One of my ringtones There is also a story to go with it. |
Re: Video Game Music
I love all the music from Castlevania: SotN. Same with FFVII, the music from that one just brings me back to my younger days.
And one song that will always stick in my head was from a 3D sonic game. Not sure which one but it was in a downhill race through a san francisco like city. Something about running around at the speed of sound. Still stuckin my head |

Youtube is bugged for me, the songs won't play. They stop after 2 seconds.

Just youtube Chrono Cross OST. There isn't a bad song on that thing. Time's Scar is particularly amazing, good to see it's already been posted.

Re: Video Game Music
Two of the greats right here.
And by the way, the fact that no one has mentioned the Halo themes yet is pretty silly. The music in those games enhanced the gameplay, for Christ's sakes. |
