The World Ends with You

Anyone play this yet? Magus lent it to me a few days ago and I have to say, it is surprisingly good. The presentation and style of the game is pretty sweet and the battle system is a gem (although confusing when you first start, as you progress you realize you can't put the game down). The game really makes use of the touch screen. The story doesn't make much sense yet (I just started), but I can say it's intriguing. Pick this title up if you like action-RPGs.

Re: The World Ends with You

I was reading the IGN review on this after I completed the game, and they said that they really tried to be ambitious with this game. It did break away from a lot of the standards in RPGs, although the introduction of the battle system makes things really hectic at times.

The difficulty gets pretty insane a little later on as well.

Could even be a black sheep of DS games, since most games aren't really associated with being epic like this one.

The replay value is truly insane too.

I own it, been playing it a little. For some reason I haven't been able to get into it.

I played it ages ago, and made a thread similar to this one. I loved it. Story is great, so many different pins to choose from.

The only complaint i have is some pins can conflict with each other, but apart from this....it's an awesome unique game :)

I liked the Murasame and the other vertical strike pin from Jupiter of the Monkey personally.

The endless strokes just made each pin work continuously into the other for insane damage.

I play tinpin. It's fun. :D

The main reason I revived the thread is because the final boss is kicking my ass. Any tips?

BTW, get this game if you haven't already. :p

is that the 1 where u have to challenge multiple ones at once? Or is that just a normal boss? I got stuck on a really hard level in tinpin, so i gave up haha. I may go back to it now :)

The final boss in the game. That dragon with 5 heads that does massive damage and theres fireballs flying around everywhere.. :(

It's always a lot easier to strategize when you play on easy, lol.

I had switched to easy too. It's rough. I found though that the best thing to do was stay away from the biggest head in the middle, and try and pay attention to who has the light puck to pass it for some more damage.

That bubble he catches you in is a pain in the ass too. Break that ASAP or else he'll hit you for massive amounts of damage.
