Yay. Off to Brooklyn and then a wedding this weekend in New Hampshire. Should be fun. I wish I was getting up to NY in time for the hot dog eating contest, but oh well. Maybe next year.

Vietnam is actually an interesting case study of perception vs. reality. I won't go into it, but the harder you look at the Vietnam Police Action (the governments words, not mine) the more cloudy and surreal it becomes and the more we realize how little we actually know about it intentions, how it was fought, and even the outcome and after effects. Its such a unique moment in history, media and politics that I doubt it will ever be repeated. To make a long story short, I know several Vietnam vets and they say it best when they told me "What makes me more angry than anything was that we could have easily won and they (politicians) wouldn't let us win. They didn't want us to win and never did. If I had known that in the beginning, I would have never gone."

And I agree with Swan, Bud tastes like shit. The Great American Lager is none other than
