Celebratory Thread - Just got a DS Lite
 

Yes yes, after a few years of being DS-less (an event of trading my old phat in when my PSP met the cold slate floor and the screen shattered, literally like my heart), I just got a new DS Lite. Black as the ace of spades and a great little machine.

Games thus far:

Anno 1701: Dawn Of Discovery
Glory Days 2
Panzer Tactics

I'm so thrilled I just had to waltz in here and shout it from the rafters. Alas, my foot got stuck up here in between one of the girders and now I'm stranded.

Lucky I've now got two handheld units, each playing to their own strengths, to pass the time until some calls the emergency services.

I still have that game lying around at my family's. The DSL is owned by my sisters and they won't let me borrow it. So I need to stay over for a few weeks if I want to play it. :)

At the moment though, good LORD, Glory Days 2 is ridiculous fun! I can't get over it! It's amazing, but amazingly simple!

And both Anno 1701 and Panzer Tactics are superb. I'm in awe.

The newer Advance wars is fun and a lot more gritty. Less cartoony overall.

Other than that POKEMON dear god POKEMON. also meteos if you can find it. Took me 2 years almost :P but it was a very lazy search.

Congratulations!

I just started getting games for mine recently.

Looks like I still need to pick up Pokemon, Advance Wars, and Meteos to round out my 'great games' collection.

On a semi-related note, I had sold off my DS Lite awhile back due to financial reasons. My original DS phat I lost (along with around 8 games in a carrying case thing for it) thinking someone took it one day. Well, while cleaning out every inch of closet in preparation for move, I found it! Games also. Huzzah.

The funny part is I found 2 DS chargers and tossed them about 30 minutes before discovering the DS so I had to dig through trash and get them back out.

Get Kirby: Canvas Curse right now. Even thought it's not a strategy game, it's probably my favorite DS game. Oh, and I can't believe you haven't picked up Advance Wars yet.
