Re: Show #1: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
Sorry this took so long. I don't have any prior experience working with audio editing, so I hope I did a decent job. The file format is m4a, not mp3, as that is what Garageband exported it as. You'll also notice the m4a file format allows for enhanced podcast. I added chapter markers and chapter images - it's quite a nice feature.
The podcast also clocked in at a very reasonable 45 minutes and 19.1MB, with surprisingly good audio quality. Megaupload may not be the best host to use, but it will do for now. I will also look at adding the podcast to iTunes. We also need to turn off Skype noises on all of our computers. And for some reason the description didn't make it into the file. |
Re: Show #1: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
Upon further review, these chapter images and markers are rather pointless.

Anyone download this?

Re: Show #1: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
I'm downloading it now. Others should too.. It should be good.
edit: Is this part of the subforum still closed off to everybody but us? Because I just noticed that it's not posted in the actual Happy Hour Podcast section. |
Re: Show #1: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
Yes, this subforum only shows up for those of us who work on the podcast.
I'm not sure if I should just post this version for everyone or wait for Dyne to properly edit it. I sort of wanted to post it ASAP as a lot of the discussion is time relevant. |
Re: Test podcast thread
I also posted this in the other thread but here's the full, raw unedited file:
http://www.badongo.com/file/9891560 Bond, your edited version is good enough to be released to the public I think. We'll give Dyne a break and he can do the next one. |
Re: Test podcast thread
Yeah, I posted it up for all to see. It will be a lot better once we feed the podcast through iTunes. The description doesn't show up on iPods unless its through the iTunes podcast directory.

Re: Test podcast thread
I haven't heard Bond's version, but let's post instead, just so people don't have to wait. :)

Re: Test podcast thread
Dyne, have you ever put a podcast on iTunes before?
I have a lot of space on my university server that I could host all the podcasts on and upload them to iTunes. I know we need to create an RSS feed or something. |
Re: Test podcast thread
Nope, actually I asked Gamemaster how to do it. :lolz:
