Gamestop - A new low?

The spore creature creator. 2...TWO Wii, 360, or PS3 games to get it free. What the fuck?! The thing costs $10! Not $40!

For gamestop's sake, I'm going to assume they mean they'll throw that in for free in addition to the store credit they'd give you...

I'm glad I've never shopped at that scheming cesspool of deceit.

The mere fact that they only accept cash is disgusting enough for me to turn away.

Wait...what? I always am able to use my Debit/Credit card if I get something there.

I see Gamestop hate doesn't end at GAF, you guys hate this place too huh?

I don't get it, use the place to your advantage. Trade in games when you can get nice bonuses like I did today, $10 more when you trade in 2 games. I made money off of the 2 games I bought from there because when I buy games I use all the coupons that are all over the place along with my Edge card.

I never buy things for full price there, any used game that is marked for $55 I always end up getting it for roughly $45. Gamestop is pretty awesome, nuff said.

I don't hate gamestop... They tend to have a better selection than the big box stores, and you can sometimes find some nice deals on used games (with like 10 different stickers plastered all over the case)...

But trade-in values at gamestop are generally at least $10 less than what you could get online, and prices of used games are generally $10 higher than what you could get them for online...

There's a copy of GTAIV for 360 selling for $38 on half.com from a seller with 100% positive feedback... "Complete and in perfect condition! Played through once by one adult owner. Non-smoking house."...
At gamestop it'll probably have scratches, be plastered in stickers, not be guaranteed to come with manual and map, and still cost $55...

Halo 3 is $15 cheaper, Mass Effect is $10 cheaper, and those savings right there pay for a copy of Bioshock, which comes in at $25 ($10 cheaper than gamestop)...

Nobody better talk bad about Aladufia (Yeah Gamestop is his second home)

Personally, I don't mind the store. Especially when they have something like the Gamer's Day going on.

I sold Smallville Season 4 to a Canadian. And the package came back because they couldn't find his house or something. And I tried contacting him but never got a response. So pocketing his money was the only thing I could do. :(

You know.. generally, I would condone this behavior.

But you ripped off a Canadien so it is extra sweet in my eyes.

Waiting for it to come to me is better than me driving 45 miles to my nearest GameStop just to get ripped off for my games. On eBay, you get so much more money for stuff you sell, and can find stuff for mad cheap as well.

Not true at all, I may head up there a couple times a week but it's the only place where I go to do my gaming purchases. I have two Gamestops within a 5 minute drive and the place is just fine, like I said before use the place to your advantage... trade in when there's a deal and buy when there's an even better deal (which is basically always).

For selling, but not for buying, if you stack discounts.

GameStop is evil. I've worked for one.

Their sales tactics are the worst, too. It goes something like this:

Sunday: Raise the price on 20'ish games by $10.
Monday: Hey guys, we've got these games for $10 off!
