Wii Ware Launches
Yeah only about a year and a half after the release of the console.
The Wii's downloadable service gets it own class of new content. And twas far not a bad line-up. I've only downloaded Lost Wind which is a really cool 2D platformer with you controlling two characters at once somewhat. Only about 15 mins in so far but the music is very calming. |
Re: Wii Ware Launches
I'm interested in Star Soldier R as it's a continuation of my favourite shmup series, and the FF:CC game looks pretty good. I doubt I'll be buying anything until they release an additional hard drive.

Re: Wii Ware Launches
I'm kind of jealous. I've got a homebrew channel installed on my Wii so I decided to wait a few days until the homebrew community is sure Nintendo's not going to brick our consoles with these WiiWare titles before I make the purchase. Lost Winds totally looks worth the money.

Re: Wii Ware Launches
when the mexican geometry wars with machine guns and chainsaws releases, WiiWare might be worth something

Well put more time into Lost Winds and if this is any indication of where the service is going. Couldn't get off to a better start. The game is a little slow and weird without a dedicated jump button. But it is fun. And while it is a minor character you soon forget that you are actually controlling two characters at once. |

We probably shouldn't believe everything we hear. edit: oh wow, that "small" isn't where it ought to be. But the dye has been cast. |

Re: Wii Ware Launches
I downloaded Star Soldier R for 8 bucks and it is the PERFECT in-between kind of game. So sweet. It's now near the top of my channel list.
