The Diverse World of Xbox Live
 

So we all know there are some strange souls on Xbox Live... penguins, people actually named Bond, and the like. I was just playing Call of Duty 4 and a guy was talking about his new business to this other man who seemed interested.

So they started chatting about movies and animals, and which movie was doing the best. The Larry series is, for the record. The guy was interested in the movies, and getting a job working with the animals.

We try to ignore them and play, as they talk about rehearsals, giving a sample video and see how well they perform. Then the guy asks if there's any openings with gerbils, because he has "a thing" for gerbils. The reply?

"Well, there's not much you can do with gerbils, you know, being a guy." :Puke:

Then as he advertises his company on the way out, I find out I misheard the initial movie. Its title was "Larry does Lassie."

A 15 minute conversation involving locations of buildings, job application produces? They were serious.

A couple years ago I would have agreed, but after so many years on the internet, I've ceased to be amazed by how far people will go for a joke.

Of course, the internet has also taught me that people like that do exist. I wouldn't be surprised if they were serious, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they acted this all out as a joke.

Either way though, gross.
