Ok, Simpsons Movie
 

Just saw it. First half is VERY VERY funny. Second half is like a normal simpsons episode. I suppose it's because they actually had to make a story for the second half.

Yea, I also found myself enjoying the first half more than the second. Not that the second half is bad per say...its just not pure gold like the begining.

Overall, a really good movie, very enjoyable.

Yeah, that's about where I stand. Everything up to Season 10 was mostly pure comic gold or great TV. Seasons 11 through 13, maybe even 14, had more good stuff than bad stuff, but it kinda started to decline. And after that the show just kind of became really really crappy with occasion flares of goodness.

You can't even compare the brilliance of the 7th, 8th, or 9th season with the crap that has aired over the past 2 years. Shame on FOX for not pulling the show 3 years ago and making this movie earlier.

Yeah, I agree with everyone who says the show has definitely declined, and I think that's pretty obvious, but I think you are forgetting that they recruited a bunch of writers from the past to help write the movie.

I also agree with everyone that the first half is super good and the second half is just good. Overall all it makes the movie pretty good. I had a great time.

Even the current simpsons episodes are still better than most of the pure crap on TV these days. Not as good as the old stuff sure, but still decent.
