Live Earth

Is anyone watching this concert on Bravo?

Pretty sure this is a major rip-off of Live Aid, and is a lot worse.

Re: Live Earth

I'm not watching the one on Bravo.
I fell asleep to Japan, and woke up to London.
Which is odd, because they're airing on different channels.
But Bloc Party was amazing live.
How I love thee.

Well, Keane was decent at Wembley.

What is Bloc Party like Typhoid?

Genesis still exists?

Watched some of Metallica. These kind of mass concerts don't really do it for me, especially on TV. Not a big fan of a lot of the bands anyways.

James Blunt's rendition of Wild World was masterful.

Wembley seems to be the only good venue.

I can't really compare them, to be honest.
I'm not too up on my big list of British bands not trying to be American.
I'd suggest just checking them out for yourself, on their myspace or something like that.
They're basically indie-alt-rock, where the singer actually sounds like a brit.

I guess I was watching London feed during lunch, and that was the most bored crowd ever.

They switched to the one in Rio and that one was just hopping compared to london. What gives? You guys are on TV! Dance your ass off!

That was James Blunt? I was trying to figure out who that was.

All in all a good day of music. I really liked how it was set up, like we in Canada had 5 or 6 chanels going of live music - awesome.

I really liked the Chili Peppers and Yusuf Islam and what I caught of Pharell was pretty good.

And Dyne, ya Rio was hoppin. It also took place on a beach, which is automatically funner than a stadium in which you are at the closest 20 feet to the damn performer! See all those media *******s taking pics in that like 10 foot secluded area in front of the stage? I know that is there for safety.. But I don't like it.
