Wii gets some 3rd Party Loving

The support for Wii seems to be ramping up within certain 3rd parties.

This week alone UbiSoft, EA and Midway all pledged support to the Wii. And have announced more games for the console.. whhich is quickly passing the Cube in terms of variety in its first year.

Midway has announced 5 Wii titles for the first few months which includes Mortal Komat, Rampage, Blitz and Ant Bully.

EA has announced I believe 6 games which Madden, Godfather, Tiger Woods, Harry Potter, Need for Speed, and SSX franchises.

And UiSoft who was one of the first 3rd parties along this ship.. as well as having the first official Wii game has announced 7 lanch titles for the system spread out along 4 genres.

- Red Steel
- GT Pro Series
- Rayman
- Far Cry Wii
- Blazing Angels
- Monster Trucks
- Open Season

All in all. The Wii as mentioned before is getting more variety than the Cube did in its whole life in the first year. I mean did the Cube or n64 even have any dogfighting games?

Launch window; so within a few months of each other. Out of all those titles there's maybe only 2 that I really care about...

I really don't know if you could consider this significant third party support though. I mean, most of them are ports, EA covers all bases anyway, Midway kinda sucks...

Rayman looks like the only promising title in the bunch.

That's alot of support from third parties, I just hope that the current level of support the Wii is getting is maintained and for that to happen the 3rd party games have to sell.

So I hope the third partu titles do well. :)

I do believe a Harvest Moon game was fairly recently announced for Wii... How exciting!

I've actually been rather pumped for the Wii as of late... I've become bored with console gaming (and most PC gaming, as the only thing I hold onto now is World of Warcraft) and hope the Wii could bring about a change to that...
