But seriously, I still think Sony has the umph to come out on top just based on their current fanbase and the success of the PS1/PS2, but with their console's launch price...

At the same time, the Wii is being launched graphically dated. It seems like they are, in fact, acquiring lots of third party support anyway. Which is great. If Nintendo can keep companies making good games for the Wii, I seriously think Nintendo can win this generation.

Xbox360 is the wildcard, at least till Halo 3 comes out. It's not craptacular by any stretch though, it's really cheap, word is the price is being dropped again when the PS3 comes out, and for what you are paying you are getting a lot of graphical power. I'm thinking that if I do decided to join in on this gens console fun that I'll probably go the Microsoft/Nintendo route...again.

Wii, literally just for the classic downloadable game arcade feature. I think that is going to really attract old Nintendo fans back.

I want the PS3 the most (partly due to the Blu-Ray player, partly due to the gaming)... but that doesn't mean I'm going to actually purchase one.

I'd be happiest to have a PS3, most likely to get an XBox 360, and very interested in playing someone else's Wii.
