Challenge #1 Plans
 

After reading Neo's post about Challenge #1 I figured that we should plan out how we're going to do this. I know that if we plan it out we can do it really fast and efficient. We could even practice doing it in here. I was thinking that maybe we could all post a different task..well that's obvious. There are 15 of them..and 8 of us, so everyone would go twice except for one person. We should probably assign what everyone should say. Also, I was thinking maybe if everyone has AIM or MSN we could make a chat room in one of them as it's going on, so we could let everyone know when we're done making our post. That way we could all have our first post ready to be submitted, and it would go by really quickly. Post your thoughts on this.


I just realized something. Since nobody uses the IRC chat, we could probably use that. I don't think the members of the Cook Tribe would think of that since everyone seemed to have forgotten about teh chat anyway.

I'd rather use AIM chat...there's a chance one of them could stumble in there.

Anyone notice how it takes gametavern 5 minutes to update?

Well, if we do this while in AIM chat, one person can most, then the next, then the next, and we could be finished by the time the site even has time to update. We'll just use AIM to tell each other when we are finished.

We need at least four people, but I'd like to have more.

Any extra people we have could be used to distract the other tribe. Minutes before the challenge begins, the extra people could all change their avatars and signatures to match various people from the other tribe.

Then, you just start posting random "shelter building" statements, to throw them off.

Your idea with the chat is basically what I was trying to get across. We'll have to make sure that everyone sees this before sunday. I was thinking..3 of our members don't seem to have AIM, those being Typhoid, Happydude, and KillerGremlin. I know that Typhoid and Happydude have MSN. We'll have to choose between that or AIM. Our next order of business is to organize who will be posting what.

4) gather more bamboo
5) gather more palm leaves
6) gather hemp to make rope
7) make rope
8) place floor beams
9) build floor
10) cut equal link supporting posts
11) build roof
12) cover shelter with palm leaves
13) make cute window
14) place sleeping bags inside shelter
15) raise tribe flag on top of shelter.




I'm just adding that in here so we don't have to go to the Challenge #1 thread.

Well Zach has MSN.

So in a sense, if he goes on it, he could bridge the gap of no contact bewteen me and Artem for not having AIM.

I'm not doing anything this weekend as far as I'm aware so I can easily be one of the 4 unless something comes up at the last minute

IRC is easy as pie. You can download it at www.mirc.com.

I hang out on irc.initialized.org all day. I can host the #gametavern channel, and we can all join there, opposed to AIM's sloppy chatrooms. Just my opinion though. I go with the flow.

MSN chats work pretty well if you ask me...*shrug* i'll be able to make it at 11am sydney time :)

We can't do that because there's the risk that the Cook tribe would find us in there.

Ah, fear not my friend, I'm sitting in there with admin. I can kick, ban, devoice and voice whoever I want. Liberally. And if I really wanted to, I could learn some scripts and be leet.

I guess we'll all just decide what to do in terms of chatting tomorrow. Do you guys think we should choose who's going to post and who's going to screw with the tribe?
