What i do next?
 

This is the first thread i've posted for, oh, a good few years at least i think, but maybe you guys can help me with something.

Anyway, having just finished university, i'm taking time to consider what i do next, with no desire to rush into a career just yet. I'm considering two options for the immediate future (over the next year).

Continue my studies and do a Masters degree

Save up some money and travel the world

One can always follow the other, but what do you guys think i should do first?? :confused:

Well most people will say do the masters now because ur young and then travel, well how about u travel for a month or so then do masters.

Masters, travel. Seriously, with a masters, you should be able to work and complete your studies. That's what my dad did. This way, you'll be able to pocket some cash and then go on a crazy awesome world tour in a few years. Unless you're dying to travel now or have a girl that wants to travel or something...so yeah, I dunno. I guess there's a chance you find a gal during your masters run and get married or something, so you never know. Go with the flow, trust your instict. Invoke some good jedi wisdom or something.

i would say study, then travel just becuase when you stop studying for a year, you'll never want to go back into uni...trust me, i know. and it's always easier to get a job while backpacking as well with a master's degree :)

Do that, man you can travel the world with your six figure salary later without having to hitch hike...

Thanks for the comments guys, i'm applying for a masters either way, if all goes well, and i get excepted, i always have the option to postpone the masters by a year.

I suppose doing the masters first would also mean i could be looking forward to travelling (perhaps not saving up for it so much tho :( )

I don't mind the idea of hitch hiking so much, i know theres stories of people getting kidnapped and stolen from. But i know people who have travelled after workin a **** job for six months and have an awesome time trying to get about. Infact, my mate (also Ric, who's list in the MIA thread) went to france last year with very little money, to work on a vineyard, but he used he money he made to travel across europe.

I'll keep u guys posted on what happens.
