Kind of spontaneously wrote this over the last half an hour. I guess it's a work in progress.

We sit still in walls of stones
Let age and cracks consume our bones
Misfortune comes we shift the blame
And all the fault’s tacked to your name
As we lie cold and dying
We lament lives that are lived in vain

To err is human
To feel is worse
Let cold regrets be safety nets
Which slowly fill your humble hearse
And from your home beneath the Earth
You’ll feel the sting left by this curse

We sing the words for all to hear
We sing not to relieve the fear
Of sinful men who will defame
And bring ruin upon your name
And when their final breath has past
We breathe a sigh
We’re free at last

There are those who delight to plan
And profit from the plight of man
Those who take their stand and fight
Are crushed by calculating hands
But still we do the best we can
In hopes that fellow souls ignite

Advancing through the charred black fields
Nobody stops nobody yields
To shackles that our hands await
After we come to crash the gate
The poets enter in the fray
Not with guns but with pens they wield
