I'm running for the NJHS Historian and, of course, I have to write a speech. But I've never written a speech before so.....



What suggestions do you guys have? What should be in it? It's due for approval tomorrow so I don't have a lot of time....

Are you giving this speech in front of the whole school?

Historian eh? Well.. let me see here..

• Cover what the historia does, and tell how you plan to do that
• Explain why you are the person for the job
• Don't make any promises you can't keep
• Thank them for listening :D

Yes really. Is there a problem with it. Many of you guys/girls do so on this site.

The NJHS I belong to doesn't have historians...:confused:

We just do a lot of stuff for the school and community.

I wouldn't vote for anyone who doesn't know how to write a speech themselves.

That is a very good point. I was about to say so myself but I was afraid of what you guys/girls would think of me. Oh well, if Bond said it, atleast I can agree with him.

Besides link1130, what if you did'nt have these kind people on the site to help you? It may very well be best for you to learn on your own (well, to late now) because if you did'nt have people like these to rely on you would be screwed in simple terms.:)

Hope you take my advice seriously and respect it because believe me I am only trying to help. Its for the better.

Being historian doesn't require the skill to write a speech. Its just the campaigning.... :unsure:

I was the Vice President of NJHS when I was in 8th grade.
