I think I read that a week ago, but I still don't get it. First they're releasing a normal DVD with no extra scenes, and then later they release a version of 3h30??? :confused: I was hoping for the full 4 hours... :(

They're gonna milk this cow for all it's worth...

i don't know why they r doing that either. i guess to make more money or something. or maybe they still need more time to restore the 30 min of extra footage in. *shrugs* i'm going to be patient and wait for the one that comes out in november. man, 4 discs! hope it doesn't cost too much.

Yeah I'm also gonna buy the long version. And perhaps hire the first one.

And they don't need that much time for those 30 minutes! They're making a 3's hours movie in a year!!

I'm going to buy the longer one. If I'm going to but the movie I m,ight as well buy the one with more stuff.

Didn't they do that with Dogma as well? I think it's cheap how they make the extra scenes a seperate dvd from the movie itself, and put a $19 price tag on it. :mad:

Ehm... not here, they're just making a short and a long version. The longer version will probably be more expensive...

Depending on how long between when they released the first DVD and the Second, I'll consider buying both, just because I don't think I'll be able to wait for the longer one... I could still sell the first DVD if I did buy the second

in other words i already have the dvd(black market)sur it dont have the extra scenes but im not a die hard fan anyway. besides i got the darn thing for 10 bucks.

I think that I will just be waiting until they release a "Lord of the Rings" three pack DVD Collection to buy it. No point f wasting money on the individual movies. I will probably rent the first when it is released.

thats more expensive than getting each one when they come out in the black market

getting all three in a collection $65-$75
getting each one in the black market seperately $30 total
doing all of the above priceless
