Bloodrayne The Movie

Orphaned and forced to find refuge in a circus freak show, the only place her aberrant abilities are tolerated, Rayne does not discover her true abilities till the night she tastes human blood for the first time defending herself from the circus strong man. Consumed by bloodlust and tormented by her new identity, she transforms into BloodRayne and feeds on the blood of vampires, refusing to take the lives of innocents...

More Info.

Two vampire hunters, Sebastian and Vladimir, from the Brimstone Society persuade her to join their cause to destroy the most evil and powerful of all the vampires in the land, her father. She races to find the three Talisman organs: a heart, an eye and a rib wrought from her ancestor vampire, Beliar, which Kagan also covets. The Talismans give the beholder the power to throw the earth into darkness allowing vampires to rule forever...

Trailers

Personally, I think this bloodrayne, looks a little too old.

I recently saw a commercial for this. It looks AWFUL.

Re: Bloodrayne The Movie

It's directed by Uwe Boll (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark)...

Does anybody expect it to be good?

Most cyber film critics are giving this the thumbs up. Definitely will have to see it.

Does this feel like a bad joke to anybody else?

Who keeps giving Uwe Boll money to make films? And where can I find this guy so that he can give me some?

I saw a poster for this movie as I was walking along in the theater to go see Narnia (I'll post on that in just a bit). Good grief, this movie is actually going mainstream.

And to answer your question, Strangler, I have read on GameSpot that Uwe Boll finances his movies under a loophole in German tax law that actually rewards movies that perform badly. So maybe he's actually really smart and talented in that he is able to make consistently abysmal movies that tank at the box office. He's a real life Max Bialystock.

Maybe what we should do is send people out in droves to see Bloodrayne so that it actually does decently and Uwe Boll doesn't get as much money as he was looking to make...but that would be rather cruel.

Besides, it seems that loophole is going to be closed for the next fiscal year.

"Boll earned a doctorate in literature from the University of Cologne in 1995"

Indeed, I believe he is some sort of evil genius...

Re: Bloodrayne The Movie

I see the commercials and for some reason, no matter how much I see it, it always seems like a commercial for a low budget TV movie, not even.. more like an afterschool special to be honest.

I probably won't be paying to see this...

I'm actually starting to think this movie will be so bad that it's good.

I just want to know how the hell he convinced Ben friggin' Kingsley to do this sack of crap. Out of all the vampire movies that needed a great actor to play the heavy, this is not the one I would have selected to achieve that goal.
