I'm with dylflon. Great art, but I have no idea what just happened.

I love both the premise and the artwork.

I have failed you. :( First shot of the birthday hat. Was gonna have it say "Happy Birthday" on it but didn't want to have to write that in ever panel the kid was in. His family comes in with a cake. The kid blows up the candles. His mom kisses him...and then her head explodes. Out pops a creature of sorts. The kid then notices the rest of his family. The sister vomits out a creature a la Poltergeist II, the dad sadly ****s out another, and a worm pops out of the brother's stomach. The kid is mortified. Then the first creature places a piece of cake in front of him. He sees the creatures sitting around the table, looks at his cake, figures why not, and enjoys the rest of his birthday. Last shot tossing a balloon around with the worm as the first creature does the dishes. I'll try to make future ones easier to understand.

EDIT: Wow this is the 2nd comic I did involving death and a birthday...what's wrong with me.

Was the kid initially sad/disappointed because it was just a party with his family instaed of a cool party with friends?

Excellent work. Looking forward to seeing the finalization!
