When do you put 'em up?


We usually do it on December 1st. Every year. Spend the whole day just putting up the tree (its fake, but not one of those ****ty lame fake ones) and the little ornaments and whatnot around the upstairs living room. Its the only room we decorate, aside from the upstairs bathroom. Because its the only place people see, when they are here for Christmas.

Anyways, when do you put them up? Do you even put up anything? Is your tree real or fake?

And this is grossly early, but this thread was inspired by the glass of eggnog I am currently shovelling down my gullet.

we put ours' up around a week or two before christmas, and we put our tree up {it's fake} around the same time.

but the house always looks really festive and nice always smells a lot like christmas, this year i'll take some pictures and post some, hopefully.

I hope the snow comes early this year.

Lights usually december 1st, tree usually december 15th.

However, we just got a fake tree last year. I was ashamed. I assume we're putting it up with the lights.

We leave it up until January 6th, the "last" day of the real 12 days of christmas.

we usually start right after thanksgiving. I like to have christmas decs up for my birthday which is december 5. We usually aren't done decorating until it is time to take it all down. Which is usually right after new years.

Everything usually goes up right around the 15th of Dec.

About one or two weeks before Christmas when I get home from college. Always use a real 10 foot tree. Outside lights usually go up about the same time. They get taken down about a week into January.

We put our decorations up and get the tree as soon as my sister and I finish school and begin winter break which is around the 18th of December. If it's any consolation Dyne, my family is considering a fake tree, we'll see how that turns out...
