Let's say your plane crashed on a freezing mountain range many miles from civilization. A few of the passengers(including yourself) are able to survive, but can't contact anyone for help. The hours pass by and every hour you become more and more hungry. There is nothing to eat except one thing, the people that died on the plane crash. If you were in a situation where the only way that you could survive was to eat another human would you do it?

Well, I dont know if even in such a situation the taste would be too appealing to me. I would probably end up hurling it out again anyway because of the awful taste.

I think this is one of those "impossible situations." I could feed off the natural resources or plant life but there would never be nothing to eat.

But let's say there really wasn't anything...

No, I would not eat my fellow travelers that had died. I would find a place to sit and stay there until I became too weak to stand. I would hope to die peacefully in the night.

I too would not eat the other people. When a situation like this did occer, the people who ate the others were so ostricized and hurt by others that it almost doesn't seem worth it... but...the way to get people to lose hope the fastest and make them VERY desperate is to starve them..so I can't be sureof what I'd really do.

I agree. It is easy for any of us to say we wouldn't now, but if we were in that situation and it was our ONLY way to get food we may think differently. People will do a lot to stay alive, even cannibalism.

I would eat all the dead people, then eat all the other survivors. But I don't know what I'd eat 4 hours later.

No, I'm pretty sure wouldn't eat the humans, no matter what.

No, I wouldn't. At least I hope I wouldn't. But if I kept a sane mind I definetly wouldn't...

Remember, I said this was a freezing mountain range, so everything is snowcovered and therefore has no plant life.

I'm sure there would still be natural resources.

No doubt about it, I'd be all over those frozen asses in no time.

well, i believe very strongly that a person can never say what they would do in a situation. you can not predict how you will react, you can only say what you think you would do.
given that...i would hope that i would not eat them, but i don't know

Agreed. Although I have tried to eat you before. Gotta watch me when I get bored. Crazy stuff starts happening.:stud:
