Have there been any pics of the game? Because as far as I've seen 3D isn't the nicest looking choice for DS games.

Comparison:



The difference is slight but if you look long enough you'll see that the right and left are actually difference screens. Can you tell which is the DS version? It's hard but give it a guess.

I'm interested, but also a little wary of the Job system.. FFV didn't really work for me...

They should've remade IV or VI. As far as I remember, no one really gave a sh*t about III.

Oh well, looks cool anyway.

Well the only reason Square's doing this is because it was never released outside of Japan.

Maybe that's partially due to it never being released in the US? :>

I thought I heard something about them sort of wanting the entire Nintendo-generation Final Fantasy library playable on the DS...

I&II on a GBA cart
III with this remake
IV on GBA

Then I thought I heard them hinting at (or expressing interest in) making similar DS remakes with V and VI? Maybe that was just speculation...

I know it was never released outside of Japan, and the people who played the translated roms basically knew why.
