Canada... you're starting to scare me.

Apparently black groups in Canada are calling for segregationist policies in Ontario due to the increased crime and deaths by firearms. Please tell me that this is a bad joke. |
Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
If this goes through, I will actually start a petition for whites to have different laws than blacks for everything.
Because obviously they (the black people there) aren't making this a racial issue at all. And obviously, if black people can have seperate laws and not get a big riot behind it and have it be called Racist, white people can too. Hell, why not have different laws for men and women too? And people with long hair? And blue eyes? |
Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
Totally a step in the wrong direction.

Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
Canadians need to sit down and resolve their issues. So much goes unspoken and ignored and bad things happen when issues and feelings aren't addressed.

Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
Maybe this should be directed at all Canadians. Our black populace in the rest of Canada doesn't have crazy segregation demands as far as I know.

Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
This is Ontario and probably mostly Toronto. Who cares about Toronto anyways?
I plan to move back there one day but this is ridiculous. |

wow!...just wow.
is it really the governments fault that black youths comit worse and more crimes than whites? (i'm not saying they do, but they make it seem that it's true)...this is just stupid. |
Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
Actually, it sounds more like the whites are racist and killing blacks.. At least, that's what Strangler's summarization sounds like... Didn't read the article...

I agree with them in spirit, specifically about poverty being a huge factor in crime (but not an excuse), but going backwards 50 years in practice is by far the wrong course of action. |
Re: Canada... you're starting to scare me.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm betting that the majority of African-Canadians don't agree with this. Remember that community "leaders" of any group are more often than not self-appointed. The people they claim to represent are probably too busy trying to put food on the table to pay attention.
