I would love to get turned into a diamond when I die though I doubt my family would spend that kind of dough on me. They'll tell me they will when I'm on my deathbed but instead stick me in the ground or have wild animals feed on my carcass. I'd dwell within the stone of my former body and perhaps possess those that handle it. I wonder how big of a diamond it'll be if they use all your ashes. Maybe mine can be shaped into a statue of myself or someother figure. Anyone else really excited about this?

I don't think it is immoral at all. I mean, I wouldn't actually wear any of the gems, that would give me a creepy feeling, but it's a pretty cool gesture.

Holy ****!

EX-SPHERES!

Well if my loved ones gave me awesome sword powers, I would definitely spend the dough.

That depends entirely on what the deceased wanted, and how you treat the gem. I'd think it'd probably eb okay if the dead person wanted it, and the living receptor doesn't just throw poor granny in the jewelry box with all of the CZ...

But just because a dying person wishes it, doesnt mean it isnt immoral and has to be carried through with.

What if the deceased wanted someone to kill the president/emperor of a country?

Wanting your own self to become a diamond vs. wanting someone to kill someone else for you...

.... How are those even remotely similar?

Phf.

Fine.

I just think its really morbid. To turn someone into a diamond. And sort of disrespectful, in ways. Because you cant pawn ashes. Yet you can pawn a grandma grade diamond.

And fine, not a ruler of a country. What if the deceased wished you to kill the person who caused him/her to die?

This is pretty cool. Definitley leaves the door open for stories of possession and immortality. Who can prove whether a 'diamondized' person can still see, hear, and think?

I think I'm still going to choose cryogenic storage. Just incase it becomes possible for someone to bring me back to life.

To me, personally, it doesn't sound any more morbid than keeping their remains in an urn on the mantle...

And I don't see how turning them into a diamond is any more disrespectful than burning them to a crisp... I mean, if they wanted it to be that way...

Of course it'd be disrespectful to pawn one, but honestly what kind of person would do such a thing?

Not to mention there might be some sort of marking on it to tell what it is, and the pawnshop wouldn't accept it...

And again, world leader or no world leader, wanting yourself turned into a diamond is nothing like wanting someone killed...

What does killing someone have to do with this? Following what a dead person wants you do to with his/her body is completely separate from killing somebody if they ask you. Its their body, they know what they want done to it.

And its not disrespectful if they person asks for it or wants it. It'd be disrespectful to pawn it. yes, (unless they wanted you to), but not to just turn it into a diamond...

Its kind of like those black people who call themselves the "n" word. Some little white grandma might find it appalling and self-disrespecting for them to do it, but the people who do it don't think so...

Its all relative...
