What games will you download?
Just to give us something to talk about, why not post what classic games you're looking forward to playing on the Revolution?
'm going to go on a NES/SNES downloading spree once Revolution is released. I have a ton of N64 games already, and the only ones I'd want that I don't own are Blast Corps and Sin and Punishment (if they put it on there). Off the top of my head, I can only think of: NES: Contra, Punchout, River City Ransom, Crash N The Boys Street Challenge, Kid Icarus SNES: Zelda LttP, Super Metroid, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Super Punchout. |
Re: What games will you download?
I'm downloading everything I can get my hands on. First I'll be downloading all the NES classics.

Re: What games will you download?
Probably the SNES games I never played/finished. Namely Earthbound. I'm a big fan of SNES.

Re: What games will you download?
I would definately want RBI baseball (any of them) for the NES, and any of the old hockey games for the NES, because those would take me back...

Re: What games will you download?
Depends on what's available and what possible cash funds I might have to hand over to obtain them :>
I have an NES, SNES and N64, and would much rather own a normal cartridge copy of any game... However, I might make an exception for some of those harder to find/insanely expensive games that I might want... Which games those might be... No idea... |
Re: What games will you download?
If I can download N64 games with framerate issues "solved/fixed", I'm getting my grubby hands on as many as my debit card can handle

Re: What games will you download?
I am, of course, looking forward to playing all of the Zelda games.
Super Mario Bros 3 Snake, rattle N roll could be fun too |
Re: What games will you download?
Oooh, I remember 2 specific ones that I have for NES that I have stored somewhere but never play:
Marble Madness Sk8 or Die |
Re: What games will you download?
I love the idea of having a classic-game-center, all-in-one console, and I'd pay $200 just for that (sans any revolution). One console that's legit, sitting at the couch playing all the old games with a simple click of the remote/controller, all in one place.
Sure you can get ROMs and emulators. But it's like going to Best Buy and picking up the music CD instead of trying to find them online and downloading them -- it's just easier to go legit. Plus you get the jewel case and nice liner notes, just like we would get better and bigger-screen graphics (I mean, my TV is bigger than my monitor) and (perhaps) updated graphics and online play! I'm paying for the time I would save not having to find the games and make them work, and for that extra bit of quality. I think..... SNES was my favorite console from NES to N64, so I would download most from that. Though if the Revolution runs N64 games with more power and thus better FPS it would be very close. I think the desire to splurge and get all the old classics would be big. I'd have to hold back, because then I'd never end up finishing any of them. Like getting too many books at one time. I'd start with the ones I never played, like the SNES Legend of Zelda and Earthbound. Then after finishing the classics I've never played I'd splurge and get the ones I have finished to play at my leisure. EDIT: Quote:

Re: What games will you download?
I will download Contra and Battletoads. And some Yoshi games. I was with Genesis during the 32 bit era so I don't know what SNES games are legendary and worth trying.

Re: What games will you download?
Doesn't anybody here want Bomberman? The original four player game now available on a console with built in support for four controllers. What's not to like?

Only when FF7 became successful and N64 released was the next generation really started. |
Re: What games will you download?
But would that be considered the 32-bit era, when really, it was Genesis vs Super Nintendo for the majority of it? I really don't consider the flopped systems as competitors in the generations, so I see an 8 bit generation, a 16 bit generation, a 32/64 bit generation, the current gen, and then the next-gen.
