Some Great Classic Rock Songs

Well, I just want to share with all of you some of my favourite classic rock songs. Here they are:

Bloody Well Right, by SuperTramp
Give A Little Bit, by SuperTramp
Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison
Free Ride, (forgot who it is by)
Highway To Hell, ACDC
Hotel California, (If you do not know who it is by, you suck)
Immigrant Song, Led Zeplin
Magic Carpet Ride, Steppen Wolf
Piano Man, Billy Joel

Then, there are some others that all of their songs are amazing. Like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Zeplin, Eagles, etc.

Also, check out some of The Temptations, which are Mo-Town singers.

That is if you class grunge (hate that damn word) with Rock...

All Pearl Jam
All Sound Garden
All Nirvana

Boy, that was easy...

Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust.

All by Queen.

*realizes that he doesn't know if Beckham likes Queen*

Well....the guitar died with Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain.

The guitar died with Kurt Cobain???? What planet are you from?

How in Gods green earth can you consider Kurt a real guitarist? Nirvana's music killed real guitarists' reputation by using sub-class licks, and repetitive power chords, nothing more. Their licks shouldn't even be called licks as the majority of them consist of less than four notes. If you were to say Stevie Ray Von.... I understand Jimmy, but Kurt???? Do you even play guitar? Do you realize the talent of real guitarists like Slash, Eddie Van Halen, and Kirk Hammet.

I'm sorry Xantar, I get really sensitive when it comes to comments on guitarists and the like.

My bad.

Thank you Stu, classic rock is great music, perhaps the greatest.

Also, about Kurt Kobain, his music was amazing, but he was by no means an amazing guitarist. His music is so basic, it is quite funny when you think about it. But, that just goes to show you that even without the greatest guitarists in a group, you can still sell millions of records.

I never denied that Joeiss. Most of the newer successful bands got their success in much the same means. Blink 182, Korn, Greenday, and others. Lead guitar is no longer a requirement... (sniffle)...

I know man, I was just agreeing with you about Kurt Kobain.

Oh, and another example is Sum 41... *shudders*

Smells like teenage spirit. That's the only one I know/like of Nirvana.

Not a classic, but a huge hit in Holland: 'Within Temptation' with 'Ice Queen'. But perhaps you have another taste than us.

Perfect Stu 01-20-2002 02:52 PM

Ya know what else is a good classic rock song?
