Well, I am going to France this summer for a month and Germany next Spring. Anyone got any good suggestions for packing? I've gotten some hints from friends but I thought some of you could throw in your 2 cents.

A camera, video camera, and journal to ensure the preservation of your experience and feelings forever.

And maybe a laptop to keep in touch with us and your family and friends. :)

Yes, pack a 9mm, a 12 gauge, and a lot of ammo.

A travel adaptor for your cell phone, or other electronic equipment. That's the best suggestion I could give you, because you will pay a lot of money in the foreign country.

Does your cell phone have a vibrate function?

Because if not, you know what to bring.

JS, I don't know about your phone, but I could recommend using the internet for your communication (with a program like Skype), muuuch cheaper.

But seriously...just bring the stuff you take on every trip. It's hard to get creative with it.

Don't forget money though. You'd be suprised how many people do.

When I get back from Germany in the middle of July I'll let you know.

But by that time you'll probably already be in France, so it won't be much help.

Depends on what your phone is. Is it tri-band?

It also depends on your service provider.

T Mobile does, because they're ALL tri-band (that company is HUGE in Germany.)

But tri-band's not a T-Mobile thing, it differs from phone to phone.
