RIP Mitch Hedberg

My favorite comedian passed away yesterday morning, and I think most people in here probably have a soft spot for him.

Confirmed by http://www.comedycentral.com, http://www.howardstern.com, and http://www.joshsneed.com, and also Yahoo News (Search Hedberg).

Apparently it was an overdose... but there is no official report yet.

Go to http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Mitch_Hedberg for some great quotes by this brilliant comedian.

Re: RIP Mitch Hedberg

Oh dear lord!!!

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

He was my like, second or third favourite Comedian

Favourite jokes:

"You know they call corn on the cob, corn on the cob, but that's how it comes out of the ground, man. They should call that corn, they should call every other version corn off the cob. It's not like if you cut off my arm you would call it Mitch. Then reattach it and call me Mitch-all-together..."

"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it."

"Escalators cannot break, they can only become stairs."

"I don't have a girlfriend. But I do know a woman who'd be mad at me for saying that."

"# In England Smoky the Bear is not the forest fire prevention representative. They have Smacky the Frog. It's just like a bear, but it's a frog. I think it's a better system, I think we should adopt it. Because bears can be mean, but frogs are always cool. Never has there been a frog hopping toward me, and I thought 'man, I'd better play dead. Here comes that frog...' You never say here comes that frog in a nervous manner. It's always optimistic. Hey here comes that frog, al-right. Maybe he'll come near me so I can pet him, and stick him in a mayonnaise jar, with a stick and a leaf, to recreate what he's used to. And I'm pretty sure I'd have to punch some holes in the lid, because he's damn sure used to air. Then I can observe him, and he won't be doing much in his 16 ounce world"

"Alcoholism is a disease, but it's the only one you can get yelled at for having. Goddamn it Otto, you are an alcoholic. Goddamn it Otto, you have Lupus... one of those two doesn't sound right."

"I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit."

"I hate turtle necks. I have such a weak neck. Plus if you wear a turtle neck it's like being strangled by a really weak guy... all day. And if you wear a turtle neck and a back pack it's like a weak midget trying to bring you down."

RIP Mitch.

*Downloads the Just for Laughs episode of him*

EDIT: Is it wrong for me to do my Mitch Hedberg impression from now on? :(

He was like one of my favoritest comedians... Granted I don't really know of many comedians I like...

I was randomly visiting around Richmond with my friend and he happened to be at a club that night... But it was 21+ and I was all like >:<

Re: RIP Mitch Hedberg

He was a very funny man and he will be greatly missed.

My favorites were something like this:
"I just bought a two bedroom house. But isn't it my say on how many bedrooms there are, this bedroom has a toilet in it. This one has a oven. This bedroom is over in the guys house. Hey you, you've got one of my bedrooms, give it back."
"I stayed at my friends house and he said I had to sleep on the floor. Damn gravity."
"People always say, 'I don't care if you're black, white, purple or green.' Wait, purple or green, you got to draw the line somewhere. To hell with purple people, unless they're suffocating, then help them."

RIP

I was lucky enough to see him live on a show with Mike Birbiglia, Dave Attell and Lewis Black. It was a New Years Eve show and he was so drunk he started repeating jokes after about a half an hour, and then catch himself doing it.

Very funny guy, and I'll miss him comedy stylings. Never picked him for doing anything you could overdose on, though. Always pegged him as a pot/acid head.

I heard the OD thing was a rumor, and apparently he suffered a heart attack... and that he was born with a heart defect or some junks... o.O
