Re: Xbox Nexus

There used to be a prank site where you could create your own CNN articles and they looked identicle to the real ones. It had an address similar to the one you're sharing. Unless you can show me the page on xbox.com where you found this, I'll have to delcare this thread:

Falsify'd

Kyuzo's Prank: /

Closing Comments: Prankster did not offer enough evidence to make me believe it as being true. Addresses posted did not look legitimate and are similar in appearance to another site which mirrored an official site for the purpose of pranking.

Re: Xbox Nexus

First of all, I guess you know nothing about the internet. The Address is an IP address, usually assigned to a website before the domain has been pointed to the DNS. I went to images.google.com and typed in Xbox Next-Generation and found this image, click into it and the URL was from Xbox.com/whatever/whatever

Go look it up yourself. Explain to me why an address created for pranks would redirect to Xbox.com in the first place?

As for address looking legitimate??? BAHAHAHAHA...... wow....I've been creating/managing/designing websites for over 8 years now, and if you have done so much as create a website, you know IP addresses come before you transfer a domain to the site. So I dunno how that address doesn't look legitimate..... all my past websites needed an ip address before the domain transferred.

And I know I've pulled pranks in the past, but that doesn't mean everything I will deliver to this forum is a prank. I truthfully did some investigating and found this image.

If this is legit you may be the first person on the internet to discover Xbox 2's official name.

I wasn't saying it was from the same site. I was just saying they used the same IP address URL format. The reason for redirecting to Xbox would be to make people think it was real. Microsoft would never use an address like that anyways. There's no need for me to argue further, my royal community has chosen their royal winner.

My decree of your thread as false remains as chosen by the people! Everyone lavish me with +rep and doubloons!

Fake or not, Xbox Nexus us probably the best name I've heard so far. Damn sure better than Xbox Next or the gawd awful Xbox 360.
