Re: MSN on internet speak
Ahhhh.....another news quote that illustrates the point made on Somethingawful a few days ago.
http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=2707 It's so sad how the news lags behind, and how they continue to talk about things that most people on the internet want to go away. Oh well. |
Re: MSN on internet speak
I posted this a bit back on the Computer Forums ;)
But it was funny nonetheless |
Re: MSN on internet speak
I will punch anyone in the mouth who uses leetspeak seriously nowadays.

Don't mind it so much. What annoys the hell out of me is AOL speach. Such as sticking "lol" after everything, even if it isn't funny. Also hate "omg", "kewl", replacing 'you' with "u" and other such things. Most especially the overuse of "lol" though. I get angry just looking at it after I type it. Oh, and XD. If someone still sticks that whacked out smilie face at the end of a sentence I shall slaughter their first born and drown their dog and/or cat. |
Re: MSN on internet speak
In my observations, "leet" speak is only used in a joking manner or to make fun of someone. I don't think anyone actually uses it. Except for the most common terms like "lol", etc...
Like here for example, we only use 'leet speak' to portray and make fun of a hypothetical gamer. |
Re: MSN on internet speak
lol...i find this to be quite funny as if parents would acually want to read that. come on!
although they do have the speech down pact. |
