My Xbox was manufactured after October 2003. No ugly cord for me. However, I did see my friend's cord. I surprised they made it a wall-wart.

It wouldn't really concern me what the power cord looked like but I suppose it should be up to par with the rest of the system.

Well, it's a power cord. How do you label a cord ugly? or i guess, how do you not label a cord ugly or beautiful.

Yep, I can verfy that. My mom's hair dryer power cord looks very similar.
