RE5 In the making

Quote:

March 4, 2005 - Electronic Gaming monthly reports, by way of an interview with Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, that Resident Evil 5 is currently under development.

While there are literally no details to speak of (namely what platform the game will release on and when), the recent interview does confirm RE5 development and also implies that the same changes that went into RE4 would carry over to RE5.

From Hiroyuki Kobayashi's own mouth, "We are going to do a Resident Evil 5, of course, but as for exactly what it will be like...that's something we're busy thinking about right now... [RE4] is the start of a new story line. In other words, when you think of it that way, then it's safe to say that RE5 will naturally proceed from where RE4 left off."

Its nice knowing the game is in the making. After the huge success of RE4, if they follow the same formula, RE5 will be just as good :)

Its Capcom. Except for the rare game (like RE4), they always follow the same formula (then that rare game typically gets a bunch of copycat sequels so it evens out anyway).

Not that that is always a bad thing.

Re: RE5 In the making

They've found a new formula that works, they'll milk 4 or 5 games out with it before they try to innovate again...

Sure 1, 2, 3, and CV (and 0 to an extent, but with a buddy system) all had the same gameplay... But they tried a bit more than RE4 when it came to the storyline...

Hopefully RE5 combines RE4's gameplay with any other RE game's quality (when compared to 4's) storyline...

Oh and me and my friend both agreed... The beginning part in the town where it's just your basic townsfolk fighting you is the best part of the game... Next time don't drive the quality of the latter parts of the game down with tentacles popping out of everything and enemies turning into giant blobs of bosses...

Oh, and dying once is not enough for that damn midget... Bring him back just to kill him off after he opens his mouth to speak one word...

They better make RE5 for a next-gen console.... You know how much more freaky it could be with next-gen lighting effects and textures????
