Do you think it's right to fine people who wear low-riding pants? |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
hmmmm. Would the girls with the thong showing be a lewd or indecent manner?

Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
Good on them. You don't really see that around up here, mainly because it's a bit more chilly than in Virginia. A lot of people just wear long sweaters to cover it up.
Speaking of which, I hope they don't pass a bill for having pants ride up too high on girls.. |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
Although I don't like to see that kind of stuff, it is often repulsive, I am not sure that it is really a matter that should be taken by legal matters.

Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
Sh*t.....we had this going in middle school. The teachers would go up to us guys, and say "pull your pants up, we can see your boxers," but they never went up to the girls and went "pull your pants up, we can see your thong."
NOT that I'm complaining. I think the law is stupid. I'm not offended by seeing some guy's boxers, and I know every guy makes it a sport to thongview. |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
It is ok with me to have this law, because I am not a Virginian.
Do I agree with the law? Well, I think that there is a point where I think pants are ridiculously low, and when its not so bad. If they are talking about putting a stop to having pants almost to the bottom of your boxers, then I am for that. I don't care for people telling me to pull up my pants because the top strap is visible or something like that. |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
With hipsters pants being all the rage now, it's kind of difficult to keep things that should be out of sight, out of sight.
I personally think that it is distasteful although I understand if it is not intentionally done. I have had episodes where I myself encountered some err... waredrobe malfunction. Then again, I have seen people who does it delibrately. They'd hike up their thongs till their waist but their pants are so low you could tell what brand their underwear was. Not a good look... I have also seen girls in jeans that shows ~10cm of crack when they are sitting down. This is an example where it all went wrong. http://editorial.gettyimages.com/sou...d=935061&cdi=0 |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
Meh.....it's a backless dress. There are times when adults should be allowed to be adults. I mean, I could see someone having an angst against that in public, but if it was at a dance or something, then I think that could work.

Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
The thong matches the dress thus its not tasteless.
anyway these kinds of laws are bull**** whos to say whats taste less and whats not. Thank god bush has time to pass such genuis laws while theres a war going on. It really lets you know what his priorities are. |

I don't know about all of you but I somewhat associated that sort of image with 'trailer trash'. I know I am making a very general statement here but I blame it on the media. We have a television show here where the main characters are rather erm... 'out there' and the whole 'thong-sticking-out-of-pants' look is obligatory. Just my $0.02 :) ETA: That woman in the photo is actually the wife of the captain of my footy team. |
Re: Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants
I agree. I think the dress in the picture is tasteless, along with any other fashion purposefully made to show underwear
