I wonder how true it will be to the original movie... or the TV series even... man I feel old. :D

I wonder how true it will be to the original story written by H.G. Wells? Anyone who's read the book or was alive to hear the 1938 broadcast will be able to tell us. I only read the book. Maybe my grandpa heard the radio broadcast. When it was read on radio they adapted it to make it sound like a news alert and people actually believed that martians had landed on Earth and were attacking. People panicked and fled. Must've been funny when they released it was just a little Halloween joke.

That was a different time back then, when radio spoke only the truth. Imagine if you heard about the end of the world on the internet now....

...well that doesn't really compare.

Anyways, I can't wait to see it.

I'd rather see a remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" but it might not go over too well, seeing as how we love war and all now days.

Ive been keeping my eye on this one for awhile now. Looks awsome to me...from that initial preview, im thinking it might not follow too closely to the actual broadcast, but I could be wrong...

Oh, and BTW, I also heard that this movie has the highest starting budget for a movie ever, at 200 Million dollars. Im too lazy to go find the article, but it sounded to me like they wouldnt be afraid to go well over that budget if need be, Speilberg said something like "No expense will be spared"
