It's great for Nintendo and bad for customers. What perfect timing though. I got mine opening day luckily. As you know, they're sold out everywhere and it doesn't look like Nintendo will have enough to supply in the coming weeks. But with Christmas and Hanukah quickly approaching parents are going to bend over backwards to get little Junior or Hannah their DS unit. And anyone who bought one or more units, could definitley make a little profit if their willing to part with DS unit. Then along with the parents you have the loser gamers who refuse to wait until they become availble and instead pay way more from some seller on eBay or something.

people need to look more before paying way too much on ebay for something. I could walk into a store right now and pick one up if i wanted.

But just goes to show ya as i said in the other thread, things that are sold out make people want them more :p

A lot of GameStop managers got one free. There are two Gamestops in my town and I got both of their DS's for $120 a piece. That saved me $80. Not to mention it was employee appreciation days so I got 25% off of two copies of Mario 64 DS. All round I got an incredible deal. It sure made Christmas easier for me.

Holy crap. I wouldn't dare pay that much for a DS. Hopefully Nintendo gets more out soon. Keep up with the demand to get happy customers so they can show off to their friends :D

 Argh!!! If I had money now, I'd ask you to buy one for me! :( Importing from the States is sooooo much cheaper than buying an European version... and it's faster.

Do you think you still have that deal in 1 or 2 months?? I might have a job by then...

Hmm, there's a ton of Nintendo DS's here. In fact, they were just lying around the other day at EB.. it was so tempting to just grab one while the employee was looking away.

My local EB says they're selling like sh*t. maybe it's a Canadian thing.

When I started my reply, you were the last who posted.

Wondering, what would be a safe way for both of us to sell a DS from the States to me? Or anyone... Because I figure it would be much cheaper to ask one of you to buy and send it to me. What if I'd pay someone and he wouldn't send me the DS?

Edit: lol, you posted just a few seconds later than me. I submitted and saw your reply after mine when the page loaded. :D I've had that for 3 times now. :p

Yeah, they're not selling spectacularly at my Gamestop. But if you're looking at the numbers, they're selling well overall. And that's what's important. It should pick up in a bit.

I really dont think they are as hard to find as people say they are. I havent been all around looking or anything, but I do know that ive been to my local Wal-mart several times and they always seem to have 8 or more lying around.

I think it depends where you live. Bigger cities probably have more problems then around here where I live, a small suburb of a mid-sized town.

I would buy one for Angrist and then ship it to him. Then when he received it, he could send me money and perhaps a small postcard from his country and some coins. If he sent me some of his coins, I'd send him some of mine. He's never seen U.S. money. And I bet he'd like our special state quarters.

we should make an official exchange program like that here... see how many postcards or coins we could get from different places

Can we send them to you? Then you take pictures of them and put them up here. Or you could create a GameTavern international coin and postcard collage. Can I send you some things soon?
