CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad

Too many words to say. But I'll keep it short. Sad, very sad and shame to CBS and NBC. |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Everyone deserves the chance to share their ideas with the world. :(

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Bravo to the church in question and shame on the networks in question.
*shrugs and walks away* |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
I agree with both of you.

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
I can see why the networks didn't air the commercial. The spokesperson outlined their station's stance on advocacy advertising.
People always find something to bull**** about and I don't blame the station for trying to avoid it. |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Jesus didn't reject people, but he DID tell/teach them to change.

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Mohammed Atta was a queer... He was a homosexual...
Alls I know is this whole religion boom and moral hooplah scares me... |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
The bible actually predicts that religion will be banned. And when they attack Gods true religion, Armageddon will come. :boing:

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Anybody is allowed into any church, but that doesn't mean their actions or lifestyle is in any way should be supported by a church. I'm against them not allowing the commercial because people should be allowed to air their 'opinions' and stances of such issues... but (as a christian) I'm for the stations not allowing the commercial because I'd rather that commercial not represent christians as a whole.
I'm neither at that church that wouldn't allow them to enter, nor the church who would pay for an ad in which you see lesbians kissing. This commercial gets the wrong message across on many levels. Nobody who goes to church is without sin, period.... thus nobody would get turned down at the door, period.... The commercial should be allowed to air, but I wouldn't want it to. |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
The networks can deny any commerical they want.

I also believe that the commercial would have caused more trouble than it was worth, and it was smart of NBC and CBS to just not fool with it. |
Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
To reiterate what has already been said, Jesus didn't reject people but he sure as heck would have taught them to change. Same with every church I've been to. They let anyone in, but they don't advocate homosexuality because the BIBLE says its wrong.

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
I just saw this commercial. While I don't think there's really much of a problem with it, there is a hint of offence that i take to it. It makes it seem like all other churches (mine would be included in that other) turn people away. But TV politics can be shady so I am ignoring it. Just thought I would post on here that I saw the commercial.

Re: CBS, NBC Reject Church Ad
Remember that God buried with a volcano Sodoma and Gomora because the people there were homosexuals and lesbians. And it acuses this sin in other places. Any Christian church that agrees to this kind of lifestyle as normal is not a christian church. All churches should allow (and I think most do) homosexuals to come at the service, so they can hear what God sais in the Bible about this. If they want to change they can then start something about it. They could never change or even try it, if they never know that in order to follow God in His way, they have to change. So they have to be allowed in churches where they can hear this word.
The add that church made first shows that the church is just a comnunity gathering where they sing and talk and pray like christians do but are not christians. When gay and lesbians go there they will never hear the truth about what God sais about their lifestyle. The add also implies that no other churches allows those people to come in at the service. That not true at all as I said in the first paragraph. Homosexuals should and are allowed in chirches, but no christian church could ever accept them as members in the body of Christ or in that church unless they change, and no church could get them married and still be called christian. So the add is false in regards to waht it sais, and because of that, these networks did good to take a stance in this way. |
