This is stupid. Just dont drunk walk in the middle of the freeway and you will be fine. These statistics I can assure you take into account the idiots that get drunk then act stupid on the street. Not those that are just walking home drunk on the sidewalk minding their own business.

Depends where you are if that is a feasable option. I know I have had nights where I have tried to get a cab but havent been able to because they are so busy. New years eve is one of those nights.

"Boy hit by drunk driver. The boy is said to have been intoxicated while attempting to walk around early into the morning hours. It is that type of reckless walking behavior that put his own life in danger, Police say. Eye-witnesses said the car rode up onto the curb and hit the boy from behind. Sadly, if he had been sober, and more alert, he could have avoided that drunk driver."

My brothers best friend was hit and killed walking home form a bar one night, dragged him for a Kilometer.
