Colbert Report taping in Vancouver! PHOTOS!!!!!!
 

So Stephan Colbert was in Vancouver for the Olympics for the speed skating and to tape a weeks worth of shows. A few of us went down today where he was taping two episodes worth of material. Here are the pictures I took.

Heres what the stage looked like early in the morning when we got there




We got pretty good spots





There was a crap ton of people there!





Some crazy Dutch band came up on stage first and played a few songs. Do you know there guys Angrist?









COLBERT!







He did a spoof on the better know a district segment called "Better Know a Riding." He did it with a local politician named Ujjal Dusange, and it was funny as hell.





Then he did two different interviews of American athletes,









And also he rode a moose and waved the Canadian flag!

Good times. I am sore from today.


It was nice seeing Colbert out of character and just as himself. Also seeing him say fuck was pretty fantastic

It was worth the 4-5 hours of standing.

I'll post the pictures I got later when I feel like putting them up.
But it was pretty great seeing him as himself, and not as the character he is on TV.

One of my favourite parts was:

Colbert: "The Goodyear plane wants to take footage when they found out how many people showed up, so everyone get ready to wave at it."

Guy in crowd: "Where is it?"

Colbert: "It's in the sky, you idiot."

Euh Kleintje Pils, no I don't know them... They look like they're abusing their Dutch nationality with all the wooden shoes and flag-colored shirts. I bet they don't do that in Holland.

They were pretty funny, playing old North American hits. They were quite energetic as well. Though they played the American anthem instead of the Canadian anthem :p


What an awesome time though.
