A Function of GT You Might Not Know About: Today's Posts

It's come to my attention that perhaps everyone does not know about one of the best features of vB, "Today's Posts." It's under Links -> Today's Posts. The feature will search for threads (across all forums) that have been posted in in the past 24 hours. It's very helpful if you don't wish to manually search across each individual forum.

Did most people already know about this?

I had no idea about this.

I think it was Dylflon that first told me about it back when I was running EGW on vB. It's a handy little feature but I like the feeling of context when I'm reading a forum.

I've been using it exclusively for a couple of years... Maybe more...

Same here. Its the only link I ever use when visiting GT. The actual address of that link is even my GT bookmark.

Here it is if you wish to copy and paste: http://www.gametavern.net/forums/search.php?do=getdaily

I feel like I might miss threads accidently if I were to browse through the boards manually.

It's the only thing I've used since it was inacted.
I never click forums and sub-forums to get to threads.
I always have, and always will just click on "Today's posts".

I didn't know that, but I'd prefer a "new posts since last visit" function. Not everybody is able to visit every day.

Yeah, I have been using this one for quite some time.

And Bube I believe we did have a new posts button before

I have been using for some time now, since it was introduced.

It does that too.
Below "Today's posts" (After you click it) there's a sub-catagory that's listed saying: "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit or since forums have been marked read."

Yeah, I noticed that too, after I learned about this function. I couldn't really understand how it does "new posts since last visit", but I found it to be almost the same.
Yes, this little thing confused me :)

If you go to the "Search" button, there is a link for "New Posts." I figure its the same, but if it makes you feel better...

Back when there were a bunch of different boards I used it a bit more, now there's just the Happy Hour and Video Game forum, so I just go to the main forum.

One of the best features on the board. I think I'll stick this for a bit.
