Treme

Anybody else going to be watching this new series by The Wire creator David Simon? One episode in it's pretty great and HBO has (unsurprisingly) already picked up its 2nd season.

That said, I can't be the only fan of The Wire on here, can I?

Edit: I'd actually be really interested to see what manasecret thinks about this show having lived in NO. I have some other friends who say it isn't quite accurate, but some say it is...

I saw the first season of the Wire and liked it pretty hard. I plan to watch the whole run of the show.

I really want to watch Treme...I'll have to get caught up.

Re: Treme

I really need to get HBO again.

I love New Orleans and I have a good bit of experience in some areas, but unfortunately Treme isn't one of them. Treme borders the French Quarter and the Marigny, two of the most beloved places for me in Nola, but I believe it's more residential, so unless you live over there or know someone who does, I guess you're not likely to wander around there much.

I have heard about this show, and I'd love to see it. I bet the music is great. Any legal to semi-legal ways to watch it without HBO?

The music is fantastic. It's kind of the driving element so far of the whole show.

I'll admit I've just been torrenting this show for now, don't have HBO either...I'll make sure to buy the complete Wire + Treme one of these days to make up for my sins.
