Umphrey's Mcgee
 

Has anyone heard of these guys?
They're a progressive rock jam band. They sound like a Phish/Dream Theater mesh.

I've heard of this band before and kind of avoided them because their name conjures up images of douche bag frat kids and poseur hippie idiots. But if I have to punch a few jagoffs in the face to enjoy some good music, then what the heck.

Woah. Cool shoes, did not know that they are from Chicago...
Haha may have to seek out their live act. It's weird because I don't really know anyone who listens to them. The jam band of choice around Chi-Town seems to be Dave Matthews.

By the way, Bond, you should check out moe.
moe. is a fun jam band in similar vein to Phish only a little different and in my opinion a little more fun than The String Cheese Incident
