I felt like the last time I looked here there wasn't anything going on. The Facebook group sent me here, so that was indeed a good reminder!

In terms of general life updates. I'm married and have a house now. The band has kind of been on a long hiatus and we're not doing as much any more. We are re-releasing our first album and playing a few shows in the northeast this summer though (Philly, Brooklyn, Boston.)

I've been interning at a new digital marketing agency in Philadelphia that hopefully becomes a full-time gig. It's the first "real" office job I've had. It's different, but enjoyable. Theoretically it will be a bit more stable money-wise than the music industry was. Not quite as exciting, maybe, but stability has its perks.

Oh kudos on the marriage
Let me know when you're performing in Brooklyn. Try to make it out if I'm in town

Of course it is... why wouldn't it be the weekend I'm leaving town....

I mean granted I'll be out of town for a lot of weekends, but like all of July I'm around until the 28th

Wow, just logging into this forum stirs up all sorts of feels.

Someone make a GameTavern Facebook group and I'll gladly join...we should get a chat going. Slack is another popular platform, if people had emails they wanted to share.

Also I'm doing well. The only person I have kept loosely in touch with is BaB via Untappd. I'm curious how Professor S is doing, and Bond, and everyone else. Nice to see this thread lit up.

Of all people, I mostly wonder what GameMaster is up to. Mysterious little guy...

But I won't. :p

You're welcome :D

Apart from hosting BaB on his LA visits, the extent of my GT interaction is playing "Oh Mandy" once in a blue moon and catching glimpses of Bond crushing it in law via LinkedIn updates.

Also, this was the first time I managed to remember my password in years.

I still talk to Xantar via Facebook whenever I get the chance (or he sees me sign onto the PVG page from time to time)...

I've pretty much stuck to Twitter, G+ and YouTube now- still the same guy, married with kids and still gaming when I get the chance.

Turns out, you eventually get to the point where you can afford every game and system you want to play, but then this awkward polarity exists where you either no longer have time to play them, or any interest to with the way some of the yucky economical practices publishers are forced to use these days.

Time to build my own studio, I suppose.

Ha, that is so spot on! I now have quite a backlog of games I have purchased on Steam or elsewhere that I have yet to really play much of. The desire is still there for the most part, but the time is not. I will say though, despite the fact that I COULD pay $60 at launch for most of the games I want to play, I very seldom do. I have no problem waiting several months or longer to get the games I want at discounted prices for probably 90% of my game purchases. There will still be that occasional must have title that I will blow $60 bucks for, of course!

This. It doesn't always pay off for Nintendo titles, but on other systems and Steam I get GOTY classics sometimes for less than $20 since I "waited" (translation: played other games in my backlog, or current games that take too long to finish like Xenoblade).

Having a lack of time to game sucks, but it's still satisfying to know that if I could buy a game I want, I can regardless of price or platform.

Picked up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the other day. Plan to invest some time in it starting Thursday. Also started playing The Last of Us recently. Guess my game queue is delayed by a few years.

The Witcher 3 is amazing, well deserving of all its awards. Possibly my favorite game of the past 3 to 5 years. Some people think Geralt is a lame / boring character, but personally I love him.
